Family Photos in Your Framed Home
Dhairya and Pruthvi came to me with a great idea. They wanted maternity photos before their second baby arrived, but also wanted to memorialize the building of their home.
Their new home is an exciting upgrade from their apartment. After having their first child, they knew that they had outgrown their newly-wed apartment and it was time to establish some more permanent roots with their growing family. Dhairya and Pruthvi are bubbly, loving parents- and their son is definitely the center of attention. I mean- look at this ham!

Sessions Approach
While working on the vision for this session, Dhairya and I decided to take a documentary approach to a lot of the photos and also play off of the simplicity of the space. We wanted to focus on the excitement of the new home, and show the simplicity through clothing choices- can’t go wrong with denim & white..
Dhairya floored me when she showed up at 9 AM on a Sunday to the shoot looking absolutely glowing!!!
Their son is clearly excited to be a big brother as well.
My favorite part about family sessions is surprising the parents with all of the play we do. I am not the photographer who is going to try to make your toddler sit perfectly for 30 minutes. I lean towards lifestyle photography where I play fun, little games with the kids and capture more candid photos.
Typically after forty minutes or so, the kiddos need a good break so it is the perfect time to capture photos of you & your partner. Here are some of my faves of Dhairya and Pruvthi.
They are seriously such a cute couple. Before I show you the solo photographs we did of Dhairya, let me tell you about this adorable memory they wanted to create during the session. They brought crayons + markers and wanted to write their names on the joist ti the entryway of their home. I love that they have a great photo of it now.
