A Foggy Snowboard Proposal at Camelback Mountain

Fog is used in art and literature to add a layer of mystery or present a moment of great revelation. So, it was fitting to have Alex propose to Sam on top of Camelback Mountain in the Poconos on the foggiest day ever as they enter into the unknown of planning their lives together.

I got a call from Alex the night before the proposal. We talked about his excitement and why Camelback was important to him and Sam. Since I had never skied there before, I got there for first tracks to scope out the mountain for Alex.. this is what the mountain looked like when I got there. You cannot even see it!

Waiting for Alex & Sam…
After skiing the mountain, I let Alex know the best spot to propose and gave him some simple directions. I let him know about the fog and discussed alternate options, but he wanted to do ask Sam at the top of the mountain and I am so glad he did because it was so unique and magical.
Sam’s Reaction was amazing!
After she said YES! I introduced myself and let them both know that we would do some riding around the mountain for a mini engagement session!
We popped some fake bubbly and celebrated! (Always follow mountain rules).
